Focus on doing things that excite you...
Hey friends, happy Sunday!
Another short Filter this week as I've been working away on client projects to free myself up for the 3 month hiatus I'm taking to from client work starting in October.
Over the next few weeks I will likely experiment with the format of the Filter to figure out my preferred style. I'll also be documenting a lot more (things like learning to code, building mini products etc), especially over on YouTube.
Alrighty, let's get into the Filter!
I.
For every decision you make, someone will always tell you to do the opposite.
You might as well focus on doing things that excite you.

Why Now Is The Best (And Most Lucrative) Time To Start Your Website: Building niche sites fascinates me and this post from Scott DeLong shared some interesting insights.
While the post focuses on niche websites, it made me think of a much wider point - most people think now is a bad time to do things when in most cases now is the best time.
You hear people say things like 'the market is too saturated' or 'i'm too late' but in reality we've never had it better. The problems occur when you let the news tell you a different story.
Landingfolio: The last couple months have included a lot of design work for me, in that time I’ve found this inspiration site incredibly useful for generating new ideas.
Building a Pickleball brand: Pickleball has gained huge popularity in the US in a relatively short space of time with over 4.5 million players and growing. This thread lays out an interesting approach to building a brand and riding the Pickleball wave.

The Sunday Filter relies on word of mouth to reach more people, if you’re enjoying the newsletter I’d really appreciate you sending it to a friend or sharing on Twitter.
Have a fantastic week!
