4 Books that will change your life
Edition #040
Hey friends, happy Sunday!
Have you ever read a book that has completely changed the way you see the world? A book that alters the decisions you make and your outlook on life?
This week I want to share with you 4 books that have done exactly that for me.
Here are this weeks finds:

On the grass is always greener...
(Article)
📖 This article from Morgan Housel is awesome. He talks about a really important lesson in life and business that everyone needs to learn.
And that is “almost everything looks better from the outside”.
“Instagram is full of beach vacation photos, not flight delay photos. Resumes highlight career wins but are silent on doubt and worry.”
Everyone is crafting their own image and sharing only the wins which leads to us having a skewed perception for what someone elses life is like. We then compare that to our own lives making us feel like the grass is greener on the other side.
But “The grass is always greener on the side that’s fertilized with bullshit”
It’s important to remember that almost everything looks better on the outside and that “Everyone’s dealing with problems they don’t advertise, at least until you get to know them well. Keep that in mind and you become more forgiving – to yourself and others.”

On the visualisation of ideas
(Graphics)
One of my favourite trends lately has been the visualisation of ideas through graphics and illustrations. So many talented designers and illustrators are creating simple graphics to easily explain ideas.
Creators like Jack Butcher of Visualize Value have taken timeless ideas and transformed them into another medium.
A lot of people understand and retain ideas much better in the visual form and it’s interesting to see visuals emerge as another vehicle for sharing great ideas alongside writing and video.
Here are a few of my favourites:

On Zapier
(Tools)
🤖 I rarely get excited about tools but damn, I love Zapier. The best way to describe Zapier (rhymes with happier) is as the glue that sticks the internet together.
Zapier allows you to connect apps together and build mini web apps to automate your work without coding.
The reason I want to share this tool with you is the immense opportunity in this space to become an automation expert, over the last 6 months I've used zapier to build out complex web apps in Webflow and automate workflows for companies that they'd typically need to hire for.
Over the next few years automation experts will absolutely crush it and there's already people looking to hire automation experts. If anyone is interested in this space send me a message because I'd love to talk.
One interesting quote
"If you want to summarize the habits of successful people into one phrase, it's this: successful people start before they feel ready." - James Clear
End note
